Summer Meltdown is a multi-day music and camping festival that takes place every August in Darrington, WA. On its 14-year run, the festival is internationally acclaimed for its stunning location, diverse music lineup, and plethora of exciting outdoor activities.
Lacking in a brand presence and logo for the 2018 edition of the event, Summer Meltdown Festival desired new illustrations for event posters and other key marketing assets. Most importantly, the festival needed a new website to match their new brand identity.
Lion’s Share created a fresh logo and matching custom illustrations to design multiple marketing assets: venue and camping map, sponsor deck, full credentials, handbills, online banner ads, and social media graphics. Additionally, Lion’s Share developed a custom website and managed hosting and DNS to ensure site performance.

Lion’s Share collaborated with the Summer Meltdown team to create a custom logo. We worked to create an aesthetically pleasing logo & a full branding package that conveys the festival’s atmosphere and grabs the niche market of festival-goers’ attention.
Task
Create a new logo that will inspire the custom illustration for the rest of the digital branding for the year 2018.
Results
Once the logo was created we were able to move forward with Summer Meltdown branding initiatives by building off the color scheme to use on the poster.
Once the logo and brand were complete it was time to talk about the digital and print assets for the festival that would be necessary for promotion and to make the festival a better experience for both the organizers and the attendees.

Full package of print graphics including: Festival and camping map, handbill, schedule, sponsor deck, parking passes, car window stickers, and credentials, as well as digital graphics for the festival artists and different poster sizes to promote across socials.

Lion’s Share Digital created a 100% custom WordPress website with an aesthetically appealing architecture, functional artist pages, and optimized user-friendliness to encourage festival ticket sales and email signups.
Lion’s Share was also responsible for handling the festival’s hosting and DNS to ensure site functionality during times of exceptionally high traffic due to festival announcements and ticket releases.
